We want to hear from patients interested in primary care research 

Primary care includes visits with family doctors and nurse practitioners for day-to-day health needs. Many people struggle to find a regular family doctor or nurse practitioner, and to get care where and when they need it. Primary care in Nova Scotia is changing, with new options to get care. Research can help us understand the challenges patients experience, and what works to get people the care they need. 

Our team at Building Research for Integrated Primary Care in Nova Scotia (BRIC NS) is inviting individuals who are interested in providing advice and feedback on primary care research to take part in our Patient Advisory Council. The council would meet for roughly one hour up to 8 times a year. There may be information to read before meetings.  

By completing this survey you will be expressing your interest in joining our Patient Advisory Council. To be sure we include people with different experiences and perspectives, we will ask you some questions about you and your health care experiences. There is no compensation for completing the survey. 

We only have space for a limited number of people on the advisory council, so not everyone who completes this survey will be invited to join. However, with your consent we will keep your information on file so that we can reach out if any future opportunities arise. 

Our goal is to select a group of participants with a wide range of experience and backgrounds. Filling out this form does not commit you to participating. If selected, we will contact you with more information and ask you to confirm your participation.
