Farmers Market and CSA Survey

1. You are invited to take part in a research study being conducted by Dalhousie professors Liz Fitting, Catherine Bryan and Karen Foster. Specifically, we are inviting you to complete a short online survey to gather information about why people subscribe to CSA boxes and/or shop at farmers markets in Nova Scotia. The survey takes into account the fact that, in the current context, many farmers’ markets have created online storefronts, and many farms are offering delivery or pickup direct to consumers.

The survey should take 5-10 minutes. It has been reviewed and received ethics clearance through Dalhousie University’s Research Ethics Board. If you have any comments or concerns at any time, you can contact the REB at

Before proceeding, please read the full information letter for the study here.

The survey does not collect any personally identifying information, so no one will know the answers you've personally given. The study is funded by the EU Mobile Lives Forum, and the data will be available on the forum's website when it is complete. It will also be stored on Dataverse, a data repository hosted at the University of Toronto, so that other researchers can apply for permission to use it. However, none of the data will contain or be connected to any identifying details. You can refuse to answer any questions you do not wish to answer and you can also stop at any time.

If you have read the information above and in the PDF link and are ready to proceed to the survey, click below.
